Not Bad for Under $100

The sacrifices I make for my FU20 family!  I decided to give up my Friday to do research (aka, go shopping).  I gave myself a budget of $100 for this research project.  Although I’ve been living this Fashion Under 20 lifestyle for a year now, I have never actually given myself a budget so this was going to be a true experiment for me.

The stores I ventured to were Forever 21, Ross & JC Penny.  The haul included 2 miniskirts, 2 dresses, 3 t-shirts, a pair of pants & nail polish.  Not bad for less than $100!

$98 shopping victory

At the end of the day, I think I did pretty well with my budget experiment.  Now it’s your turn!  Set a budget for your shopping adventure & see what all you can get for that amount and then share it with the rest of us.  Send your pics & I will post it here.  You never know, I might be so impressed with your haul that I may just give you a surprise for being so flippin awesome!  I’m serious about that!

‘Til next time,

$66 Workout Fabulous

$66 workout greatness_wm

Ok, I have a confession to make, this post was inspired by sheer laziness.  Yes, it is because of my not wanting to do laundry that I was forced to go shopping for workout clothes, don’t judge me.  On the bright side, because of my laziness I have more content for y’all to enjoy.

Ross, Ross, oh how I love Ross!  It has quickly become my go to place for dresses & workout clothes.  I’ll be honest, I used to hate going to Ross until a friend took the time to explain how Ross works (how does it work…PATIENCE).  It also helps that I finally found a Ross location that I have great luck finding awesome stuff at a great price.

Today’s haul includes:

  • 2 pairs of Fila running capris (black & black/ebony/rose pink) – $12.99
  • Calvin Klein running capris  – $12.99
  • Reebok tank (pink) – $12.99
  • Avia top (black) – $8.99

My total with tax came up to $65.98.  That’s usually what some folks would pay for one pair of Fila capris & I was able to get 3 capris and 2 tops for that price.  YEAH ME!!!  I can’t justify purchasing clothing I will be sweating in for more than $20 an item, I just think that is ludicrous. That’s why I love places like Ross because they allow for me to wear quality, designer clothing for a fraction of the cost.

‘Til next time,

Jo
